the reading culture

do students or children nowadays read a lot? when i say 'read' i mean story books and novels and not just your textbooks, reference books, comics, magazines and newspapers. what books or novels have you read lately? do you agree that books are often better than the movie versions? it's a bit surprising that some students don't seem to have read fairy tales or children's stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Puss in the Boots, Alice in WOnderland ( the classic book version not the movie ) etc.....

  1. normally they feel that reading books is a very boring activity since they can't understand the content in the book and lazy to find the meaning...some of them are engrossing with some affairs that never bring any advantage for them...
